Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
I had a question related to backlight. I'm using Hobbyking backlight and directlly hook up the backlight into the connector (6 cables pins), no modification done. The Ersky board that i have also still original from Brent (part of first 100 boards I guess). Shall I expect the backlight to automatica...

Re: ERSKY9x Rev. B1 User Area
Hi Brent,
Have you try the idea of having parallel 3.3v regulator? I'm thinking, if this idea works, it could be the cleanest solution, although most of the power still wasted.
Thanks
Yovi

Re: Blank Screen with FRskyLite mod
Where do you solder the 5v from FrSkyLite? If you take it from the TX mainboard, it will be like this. Try solder the 5v connection to a regulator board where the buzzer is, look at one of the tutorial for Speaker and Heptic modification, the tutorial will shown where is the 5v solder point in the r...

Re: Walkera DEVO 8S RF Module
Just wondering if anyone has more information on the SPI protocol use by Spektrum. I know few peoples in rcgroup has done it earlier but some information has been deleted. I have done sniffing on the SPI bus and save the log but, based on this log and CYRF register information we can figure out how ...

Re: Walkera DEVO 8S RF Module
Well, we can always use another uC like ATTiny to translate from serial protocol that currently supported by ER9x become SPI communication to the RF Chip.
This way we can remove certain limitation that exist on modules that we use right now like, number of channels, have Full range, etc.

Re: Walkera DEVO 8S RF Module
FYI guys, the upgrade module now only $9.99 at ehirobo.com
This is almost the same like CYRF6936 module from artaflex that sold more than $20.

Re: Walkera DEVO 8S RF Module
Uphiearl, are there anything else on the other side of the board? If there is nothing else, it means the Devo 8S mainboard directly controlling the CYRF6936 chip, unlike spektrum module who has uC that controlling CYRF6936. If there is no uC, we can use to built custom DSM2 module, and its cheap :) ...

The 2nd byte in the package contains the model id, during the binding process Rx will remember this model id.
Er9x firmaware use model memory position as the model id and its the same behavior with Spektrum radio.

Re: DSM2 work
If I'm not wrong DX7 and DX8 is using the same RF module, maybe other that have DX7 or DX8 can verify this?
Is it possible that bit0 and bit6 related to number of channel can be transmitted?
I don't have more than 6 channels rx in hand, I'll try to play around if I have one.

Re: DSM2 work
It's my mistake  , i was powering the RF board from Arduino Nano 3.3v supply which is not enough to powering the board during normal operation. During Range Check, the RF board will go into low power mode, and this is the reason why it works when I switch to Range Check mode. I try using other...

I haven't try model match, will try it later.
I'm planing to sniff the serial data send by DX6i mainboard to the RF module, and this way, we can figure out the packages.

Re: DSM2 work
Hi All, Thanks for the good work, now I'm almost able to use DMS2 module taken from DX6i in my 9x Radio. I have a problem with it, in order for this to works I need to turn on Switch C (Enable Range check), if I turn off the switch C then Rx (Orange Rx 6 channels) led will go off and servo not respo...
