Interesting thoughts, thanks!
The antenna looks similar to that one:

In general I fly gliders up to 4m wingspan and never had troubles with low signal.

Re: Antenna replacement
I researched that topic a bit, should not be a problem to use two different antennas in one rx. But I would feel a lot safer, if one of you experts could confirm this.

Antenna replacement
Hello guys!
I just broke one antenna from a X8r with pcb-antennas. I have one spare antenna from a D8r. Is it ok to use it as a replacement? Does the rx work correctly with one pcb-antenna and one normal?
Thanks!

Throttle trim as flap adjuster
Hello guys, it‘s me again! I‘m trying to set the throttle trim as flap control. In FP1 (thermal mode) I want the throttle trim all the way down and the flaps neutral. When I move the trim upwards, the flaps should move down in steps to full deflect. The opposite applies to FP2 (speed). Trim all down...

Re: Using momentary switch to cycle through flight modes
Can you explain that a bit further please?
Won‘t all the switches be activated at once and stay on simultaneously?

Using momentary switch to cycle through flight modes
Hello!
Could someone help me please to get this running?
I wanna setup the momentary switch to cycle through flight modes. So if I flip SH once, FP1 is activated, flip SH again FP2 and flipping again returns to FP0.
Any idea?
Thanks!

QX7 and FMS-simulator, which cable?
Hello!
I want to use a QX7 with a fms simulator.
Which cable do I need? Is a certain dongle required or is a simple usb cable sufficent? Maybe it works via the trainerport?
Thanks

Another question popped up:
I bought some rechargable AAs, would you solder 'em together to a pack or just throw it into the supplied battery holder?

Charge NIMH-battery in QX7 without unplugging
Hello guys!
I want to put a NIMH-battery into my QX7. Is it possible to solder an extra lead to the battery and use this for charging, while leaving the the 2s-plug connected to the transmitter? Or does this any damage to the radio?
Thanks

Re: Taranis QX7 recommended as a beginners radio?
Hello! Thanks for your answers. I have a Taranis X9E by myself and I’m very satisfied with it. So this would be my recommendation too and in the long run the better investment. On the other hand side a cheaper entry level device, to find the way into the hobby, is also worth a consideration, especia...

Taranis QX7 recommended as a beginners radio?
Hello guys,
a friend of mine is looking into rc gliders and I wanted to ask, if you can recommend it as a beginners radio? Are there any negative experiences or issues, for example with range or quality?
Thanks

Re: Should I update my transmitter?
I just found the answer by myself. A new x-receiver wouldn‘t work with my current firmware. I would have to upgrade my module and in this case all my other receivers. Is that correct? But is it possible to „downgrade“ a x-receiver, to match my transmitter? I heared there had been some troubles with ...

Thanks for your answer Mike!
So it‘s actually not worth updating, do I get you right?
Currently I only use D-receivers, these work just fine. But how about X-receivers?
Thanks

Should I update my transmitter?
Hello guys, I have a Taranis from the first batch and never did a software update. The reason was, that I got all my models setup quiet nicely and I was afraid, of setting it up all again, in case the update would affect my setups. In addition I‘m to lazy to update the receivers, which would be nece...

@GordySoar:
With opentx you can control throttle and flaps with the throttle stick.
