Re: Switchless trainer mode?
Well, I'm overwhelmed as I've done nothing so complicated with logical switches. I will take some time to carefully read that. I also found this thread that may be what I'm looking for, as well, but will have to take some time to more carefully read it. Thanks, y'all! I'lll report back my findings/s...

Switchless trainer mode?
Is there a way to set up automatic control hand off for buddy boxing and open TX? What I mean is, I'd like to take off with my helicopter, push/release a momentary button to hand control off to the slave, and if I move one of the sticks/a certain amount then I want control automatically handed back ...

Updated DIY OTx radio?
I know around the time of the Turnigy 9x there was a DIY m2560 based open TX Port... Do we have a more modern version? Perhaps something based on an arm processor or ras pi with a color screen?
Why not? (I am admitting ignorance, here)

Re: "Trainer Connection Lost" error while not using trainer
It was driving me crazy, so I "fixed" it. I moved the sound file TRN_LOST out of the system folder. Like turning up the stereo in your car so you can't hear the power steering pump whine. I'm going to reload the bootloader and update my er9x to see if that doesn't actually clear up the iss...

Re: X4R - repairing the antennas
I did manage to fix 1 of the 1 bad boards, the other one was dead.
Sorry fr taking so long youngstar, as long as the "active portion" of the antenna is the same length, then it should work correctly.

oddly enough, my haptic has also just stopped working.
I even double checked a model that I know had haptic on countdown and it isn't working.

X4R - repairing the antennas
TLDR Why is there a 120ohm resistor (are they resistors?) connecting ground and active on the u.fl connectors on X4R receivers? (as seen on left most x4r highlighted by green boxes) I recently acquired 4 x4r from someone, 3rd hand. They were covered in conformal coating, which I removed *painfully s...

Re: "Trainer Connection Lost" error while not using trainer
Let me make it more confusing: Logo480 is the modified copy of another model and it definitely gives trainer connection lost Either 600ESP or 600E is the model that Logo480 was copied from and it's also one that is chirping about trainer connection. One of the 600's *does not whine about the trainer...

Re: "Trainer Connection Lost" error while not using trainer
My tx, the one I'm flying with that is giving me the error is set to "slave" in the radio setup tab. I figured the slave only ever outputs signal; it's ignorant to the fact that it's involved in a trainer setup. But, it only happens on 2 out of 7 of my models. It just so happens that the 2...

"Trainer Connection Lost" error while not using trainer
I have an x7 running ERSKYTx (*have to get used to the new name) -222, I think. I've not changed anything in the last 6 months other than mixer settings. Yesterday while flying one of my models, my x7 decided to begin announcing "training connection lost", non stop; it was hard to concentr...

Nah...I won't be buying frsky branded isht anymore.

Re: OpenTx vs ER9x/ErSky9x telemetry
I am using a Brain2 heli gyro. I have included a terrible copy of the page from the manual about Frsky. I think note 8 and on is of interest. The gyro is intended to work with OpenTX and I'm assuming that OTx "sensor detection" sets all the parameters automatically, where I have to manuall...

That got me a little further along, thank you! I see that values that are ticked and being sent, but not values are present (other than 0). When I change "current source" to Fas, I do get mah1 and mah2. What is "Fas"? What I really want is the "fuel guage" and RPM ( I a...

Re: OpenTx vs ER9x/ErSky9x telemetry
How does one enter the debug menu on an X7? there is no "up" or "right" dpad keys. Telemetry is working, but not as expected %100. MSH Brain 2 flybarless gyro, XSR (I am pulling of the uninverted s.bus signal from before the onboard inverter), castle edge 50, and scorpion 2221-8 ...

Lower LDO Regulator on my gyro?
I'm trying to figure out how to get a micro brain flybarless gyro to run off of 1s. Currently, the micro brain used a Micro 5209 LDO regulator that requires +1v above output (3.3v out, so min 4.3vin). Here is the datasheet The application uses 1s lipo which will drain to about 3.3v under load. No, I...

I am getting signal strength already but will check as you have described.
I do beleive the fault lies somewhere in the brain/esc setup, but figured I should ask here, just in case.
Thank you!

OpenTx vs ER9x/ErSky9x telemetry
Is there any reason that telemetry would work on an X7 running OpenTx but not if it was running Er9x/ErSky9x? I am having a very hard time trying to set up my Brain2 heli gryo with a castle esc and XSR (or X4R-sb) properly. The brain does some things differently for reasons I don't understand, and i...

Is it feasable to use BT as Head tracker connection to Tx?
Is there any reason I would not want to use bluetooth to connect a DIY head tracker to my ErSky9x X7 for camera control? I would need to install BT in my x7 and I would use two HC05's (one in Tx and one in head tracker). There are several DIY head tracker solutions for which I have all the parts, an...
