Is it feasable to use BT as Head tracker connection to Tx?

Is there any reason I would not want to use bluetooth to connect a DIY head tracker to my ErSky9x X7 for camera control? I would need to install BT in my x7 and I would use two HC05's (one in Tx and one in head tracker). There are several DIY head tracker solutions for which I have all the parts, an...

X series reciever, 4 pin header pinout ID

Long story short: There is a 4 pin header on most frsky X series receivers. I have found this article] on Oscar Liang that ID's 3 of the pins on the X4R (the article is intended for finding the uninverted s.bus signal) I am trying to figure out what the 3rd unidentified pad/via is for (perhaps uninv...

Re: ERSKY9X Coding

Having been doing some measurements regarding latency when using FrSky XJT modules, it is clear to me that synchronising to the XJT heartbeat signal is important. It is also then useful to send all 16 channels to the XJT in 9mS, rather than just 8 channels every 9mS. On FrSky transmitters, the XJT ...

Re: How to install ERSky9x on Q X7

For the QX7 you need ersky9x, not er9x, latest test versions are here: http://openrcforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4676 . Yes, download eepskye. Go here: http://www.er9x.com/ , and download from "eepe and eepskye for Windows" and install it. Next go to the test versions link above and downloa...

I now seem to have 2 extra pots fully working on my QX7 with ersky9x.

Is this for all versions of ersky9x, or only x7_romAnalog.zip?

DIY bluetooth adns3060 mouse

I'm looking for a simple bluetooth chip to interface to an adns3060 optical sensor. I want to be able to just wire one to the other, apply power, and have it work (without extra circuitry), or as simply as possible. Does anyone know of such a chip, or how I go about finding one? And, to be specific,...

Re: Ersky9x X7 won't initialize module on power up

Hey, Mike!
It happens only with the 3D250 model.
the 450x and DFC250 will both initialize on power up if they are the active model but the 3D 250 will not initialize on power up.
Any idea?
I will manually transfer all the 3d250 settings over to a new model/new name and see if that "fixes" it.

Ersky9x X7 won't initialize module on power up

TLDR: When I power the radio on, the module does not initialize If the radio is on, and I change to a model that uses the ext module, it will initialize. I have found a solution, but want to know what was the issue. Expansion: I recently added and modified some models in my X7 (running ERSKy9x 221) ...

Re: [SOLVED]How to install ERSky9x on Q X7 and update bootloader

I'm glad I could help (even though I'm just "forwarding" what other people have done)

Sometimes random issues come about with previously designated SD cards. Do a full format, copy the ER9x voice pack back over to it, and try again.

Does anyone know if the most current rom supports buttons in the X7 for headers 400 and 401? I know mike added support in one of the roms, but I can't find the post about it, or...any post about it, actually.

OSMP, yes.

I was on my phone earlier and didn't see the SD card bit.
I just checked and there is in fact NO INACTIV.wav on my sd card. I did generate my own voice file from TTSautomate. I'll copy over missing files and report back

THANK YOU! (again!)

Re: Convert M9's to 5v hall sensors

Upgrade to the AR9x Upgrade Board would solve your troubles. The AR9x Upgrade Board powers the Gimbals with the proper M9 needed voltage. Find for the 9X, AR9x Upgrade Board here: (http://www.ar9x.net/). This will move you from using er9x firmware to erSky9x firmware making your Radio a lot more po...

You'd be better off adding a 3V regulator to power the gimbals as they are.
That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that...
Wouldn't that decrease resolution more than the 5v hall sensors would?

Convert M9's to 5v hall sensors

I have to go back to my stock board in my 9x and currently have M9 gimbals installed. I can't use them with the stock board because it's 5v. I want to put 5v hall sensors in the M9s so I can keep using them. Even if the resolution isn't actually going to be better (8bit adc in the oem 9x board), the...

If using ersky9x, just create a model, call it simulator or similar, and select Slave as the trainer source.. Then just load that model on the sim.. No inexpensive source for just 2 SMD resistors. I'll see what I can make work. My knowledge of SMD parts sizes is limi...

If I upload my X7 backed up EEPE (V3) without the B450 model, the module will initialize on boot/reboot as expected. If I upload the eepe with the B450 model, the module will not initialize unless I change to DSM2 (or, as I figured out, if I disable and re-enable the ext module) IF I copy the B450 t...
