Re: er9x development
Just decided to clean up my 9x tx's, and download via eepe(R391), er9x NOHT , instead of the plain vanilla er9x R808 that I have been using. And flashed hex code into the first 9x to find it shows R803.? on the TX. I was hoping to find some extra model memory, because I have been running a bit close...

I fly mode 2,and use channel order TAER. To help in launching my wing, use gear switch for a little up elevator, easy to flick off when properly airborne. The mix. CH01 +100%THR CH03 -80%ELE R-100%HALF Switch(THR) +8% HALF Switch (GEA) CH02 -80% AIL -80% AIL +80% ELE -8% HALF Switch (GEA)

Re: Help with backup TX
Updated epee to 385 and all works fine, with second TX.
Which means now I can use it to update ER9X further up the track using the second TX as a trail with all same models loaded.
Cheers.

Re: Help with backup TX
Revision 381, Only updated a few months ago I think?
Only using vanilla er9x, m64
Will update eepe ASAP, Do you(Mike) Think it worthwhile to go above ER9X R801 considering very basic functions used.

Thanks for the quick response, Mike. This afternoon had a long play and discovered that the EPROM memory as downloaded from main radio and saved was ok, but when reopened to be burn to second radio increased in size drastically.Have been able to overcome the problem by using eepe for one radio and co...

Help with backup TX
Hi, Have been using basic er9x with a 9x TX for some time now and am very happy.Currently R801. However I decided to start using my second 9x which I originally had purchased for spares etc, when first starting with er9x, but never used. Anyway, flashed same R801 Ok, then copied my epee file of 14 m...

Re: Er9x instant trim
Yes, that would be great. As mentioned before its never effected my flying in any way, its just that I noticed it as I was "playing" with the 9x whilst watching TV (as you do). I've had a model on its maiden that went berserk and quickly used instant trim to tame it. Club members were most...

Re: Er9x instant trim
Today loaded in r708 and although a little harder to duplicate, the effect is still there. With r708 it appears to only effect the last channel being used. eg With one model using separate servos for ailerons, in my case 2 and 6. Only ch6 changed as the instant trim was toggled. In another model usi...

Re: Er9x instant trim
Thanks Mike, Yes it is a great feature of the firmware, with both stick and trim offset instantly reset whilst flying. Because I'm getting some conflicting info I think due to different models and complication of mixes etc, I thought a new model with standard airplane mixer setup test would help you...

Re: Er9x instant trim
Tried different trim increment settings, no difference. Seems to step up or down on rudder mainly and sometimes aileron (on both aileron channels 2 and 6, as I use JR system of mode 2 , TAER ). As mentioned before this may have been so with earlier versions, and I haven't noticed it. I suppose I sho...

Re: Repairing stripped Tx case screws?
Even the half ones can be cut between post and case enough to get a decent piece of heatshrink on, to keep in epoxy also.
Forgot to mention, use tip of soldering iron to effect the shrinking bit.

Re: Repairing stripped Tx case screws?
After many years in the electronic service industry, the easiest way to fix striped threads on posts or split posts. Is to use a piece of suitable sized heat shrink over the post, and if you want to make it a permanent job(as in the 9X's case where back removal will be done numerous times) fill with...

Yes, I have stuffed up.
Its R762 that I,m using. The effect that I'm seeing is on two 9X's and may have also done so on an earlier version.

Er9x instant trim
Er9x R672 plain version. I have just noticed that when I toggle the instant trim switch(trainer switch) without touching anything sometimes one or several channels trim slowly up or down. I think the instant trim function is a great feature, but am now worried that some channels are being trimmed un...

Re: weak buzzer, now no sound
Tried different settings in FW r760, speaker pitch. And found a slightly better tone/sound for the 3cms piezo speaker. Then experimented firstly with a npn transistor with an 8 ohm speaker in the emitter leg, various bias resistors on the base etc, which virtually gave the same results as the piezo ...

Re: weak buzzer, now no sound
Tried various piezo speakers today. Most have sounded very crappy. One out of a personal alarm system at around 3cms (1.5 inches) diameter is good enough to be usable. So that is now semi permanently installed. However when I get time if someone doesn't beat me to it, I think what is really required ...

OK, tnx again. I have discovered a lot in the last couple of hours. Will modify after the weekend as I'm going away. The mods show cutting some tracks, but there is no need to. Just remove the transistor. I assume normal beeping will be occur when firmware is set to pispk I wonder if it sounds roughl...

Re: weak buzzer, now no sound
Tnx Rob, Yes I have, and have found mods which I will try later. Was looking for the reason the original piezo device was not operating. The original device is driven by a transistor which appears to be a better way than the suggested mod of a high impedance piezo across the ic ouput? Maybe I'm miss...

weak buzzer, now no sound
Hello 9x enthusiasts, I have just reworked and finalised my second 9X and all good.(er9x, hk backlight and this time hard wired usbasp instead of the smartieparts board). However I noticed the buzzer sounded very weak compared to my other 9X and decided to remove it and try a piezo unit I extracted ...

TX neck strap balancer
I know that some people just love these devices and others hate them. Anyway I fly mostly electric and find them very good, I hardly ever bump the throttle on these days.Plus the TX sits better on my gut. However I have just discovered that the HK version code:OR013A-02701(futaba) neck strap balance...

Re: Servos cogging
Just like to put an ending to this thread. After a lot of experimentation, with other brands of tx's , Frsky modules standard and telly, receivers etc. I can conclude there is definitely no fault or oddities with 9X Radio, Er9x (any version) or Frsky module or hack installation. The problem is just ...

Re: General Questions Chat & Advice
Hi, Have searched all over the place but can't find an answer.
In radio setup ER9X, 1/6, after switch warnings have Default sw TRE012AG. It is probably obvious and will be, but what does this mean. R708.
Cheers,JJ.

Re: Help testing eePe
The fuse setting is much easier now, but what are the effects if you use two 9x transmitters with one pc/eepe program sharing all the same files. Is it safe? Particularly when restoring, and the saved file is actually from another TX. Does it effect the fuse protection.? My transmitters are one Turn...
