Re: Taranis Plus - OpenTX 2.1.6 - Setting Expo with GV

Sorry, it's late/early here.

I can't confirm the multipos issue. I'll check tomorrow if no one else had chimed in.

Re: Taranis Plus - OpenTX 2.1.6 - Setting Expo with GV

Add a new sensor.
Give it a name, e.g. Dist
Type: Calculated
Formula: Distance
Unit: m or ft
GPS sensor: GPS
Alt sensor: Alt if you have it

That should be it.

Re: OpenTX 2.1 telemetry system preview

The X4R has an analogue ports and the X8R doesn't. The TX doesn't know if you plug something into AIN (A2) on the RX or not, it simply displays a value based on what the RX sends to it. Since there is no switch mechanism on the RX for the analogue port it always sends "something", this is ...

Re: X9D+ / FLVSS reporting different voltages

That was Kilrah's point. Using Cells- gives you the lowest value, which obviously decreases as you discharge the battery. But it won't increase when the battery recovers.

You want to use Cells (without + or -) for real time display of the voltage.

Re: FS-i6 8 channels patch!

Yeah, it works in Baseflight but not Cleanflight, I checked it earlier. Cleanflight doesn't accept any serialrx_provider other than those listed, and iBus isn't one of them.

Where can I find your patched updater?

Re: FS-i6 8 channels patch!

No problem, I have plenty of Nazes to play with. Didn't know Baseflight supported it, I'm using Cleanflight and I don't think it has been merged yet. At least it's not selectable in the Configurator.

Thom, do you know which flight controllers support iBus? Is it the same as SBUS? I have the iA6B receiver.

I think it's related to this: https://github.com/libusb/libusb/wiki/Windows

Maybe worth putting this in a sticky for future reference?

Excellent work, Thom. Have you made any progress with the flasher? I'd love to give it a try.

If you're using USB 3, there are some driver issues with Win 10. Try a USB 2 port.

OpenTX 2.1 & FrSky FLVSS Individual Cell Voltages

One of these moments where I doubt myself. I could swear that the FLVSS showed individual cell voltages in the telemetry screen when I tested one of the nightly builds. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore with the release build. All I'm seeing is combined cell voltage. Am I imaging things? Open...

Re: What's New in v2.1.1?

I didn't do the upgrade, but downloaded v2.1.0 again to keep the updater in line.

I played with the new telemetry system for a bit yesterday. First impression is that it's an excellent improvement. Well done to all involved.

Thanks for the clarification.

Out of curiosity, what is this v2.1.1 that I now have? A nightly that slipped through the cracks?

What's New in v2.1.1?

I was alerted to an update for my Taranis firmware to v2.1.1 this morning.

I can't seem to find a change log. Is it available anywhere?

Re: Switch Warning for Rotary Encoder Problem

Gotcha! Just checked by setting the alert for the right-most position, and that does indeed not clear until S2 is in that position. I was going to open a bug on GitHub but seeing that this is a "feature" of the switch there's probably no point.

Thanks for the quick response.

Switch Warning for Rotary Encoder Problem

I have replaced S2 with a 6-pos switch (calibrated and confirmed working) in my old Taranis B running OpenTX 2.0.17. I set up a switch warning for S2 for the left-most position. When I turn on the radio, for example with S2 in the right-most position, I get the expected switch warning. However, a si...

Re: FrSky 2015 firmware update

Hello Wolfgang, have you tried to remove the red wire from the SPort cable and power the X8R with a separate battery? I've seen reports where people had success with this method. 1. Remove the red wire from the SPort plug. 2. Start the upgrade process 3. When it's trying to find the RX plug in the s...

Re: D4r-ii PPM RSSI readings ok, no battery readings

I have a couple of the D4R-II receivers and all they need is a connection to the telemetry port on the FC. Enable FrSky telemetry for UART 1 and you're good to go. The thing to note is that the Flip only sends telemetry once its armed. When you use softserial telemetry is always sent as you have fou...

For now you can still download this firmware from within the version history of the current one. I think they just cleaned up the landing page.

Re: FrSky 2015 firmware update

Could someone please help me get this straight in my head? My understanding was that with the 2.0.9.2-eu firmware the removal of D8 and LR12 was cosmetic, as in the option was not selectable, but the radio module remained unchanged. However, with the latest XJT firmware this appears not to be the ca...
