I see the option to select and name Profiles in the C9X preferences page. How do I use Profiles? An example I could use would be great.

You might want to check posts from there on:

Profiles let you choose the configuration (Firmware type and selected options) plus a radio's basic hardware setup.

Re: Profile Option?
Ok profiles may be used for:
Storing firmware option and fast change them ie when you have more two radios with different MB or options.
In profiles from general preferences can be stored also calibration setting of the radio.
Profiles can be used to patch eeprom while writing to the radio, ie you can start with a blank uncalibrated eeprom and calibrate it at write time.
The typical use is when you want to copy an eeprom from a radio to another. keeping programming but changing calibration.
While patching you can choose to patch calibration only or also hw related parameters.
Please have a look to the New feature post. viewtopic.php?f=28&t=721#p11409
PS Sorry for my broken English, I hope to have been clear.

Re: Profile Option?
Good enough answers for now, thanks. I'll print out the posts and go over them.
I do searches but many times I get a message that I'm not specific enough. Many times I'm not sure myself?
