NO. The leds are only for when I switch GEA,AIL,ELE and RUD to a push button and want to know whether it is on or off. These two are just a quick test to see if without led (which would be the same as original, except open/closed is backwards) they would work. Looks like for TRN, the program is just looking for a change of state instead of a constant 3V or 0V and TRN is highlighted when there is no voltage.
I always thought on is on, off is off, now it looks like off is on, on is off. Ha, ha just like flip/flop!!!!!!! Well, that is the 'Geek' way, should have known that.

yes, on the 9x radio the switches are OFF when they are physicaly ON. Therefore I always found the trainer switch very dangerous if we did forget to turn OFF the trainer option for the model in the model setup menu. if the trainer switch had a bad connection we would lose control of the model because the trainer would turn ON even without another radio connected..
Now, and thanks to Mike, only if a valid trainer signal is present the trainer will be active. It doesn't matter if trainer is ON in the model setup, the radio will not switch the control unless there is a valid signal.

Fantastic! Got my AR9X board yesterday. Today had a chance to replace the M128, everything works out very well. Now the system will have sound and voice. ;) Need to fine tune the spker set up though, not as good as my sky9x, but it is a quicky tape up, it will sound better.

Tried the Joystick. Yeah! The 100K pots work with AR9X 3.3V. I did some test fly, don't feel any differently from using the 5V source. :) :)
All I can say is this Joystick thing is fun and addictive. I am flying 3,4 battery of my V959 FPV each day, got a good feeling of using the Joystick. I like it much better than the finger sticks.

The project is progressing ahead and well. Now can't wait the multi I/O boards gets here and test it out with all the switches I can use on the Joysticks.

One step at a time. Receive my 'trim switch' today. http://www.ebay.com/itm/380871128528?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT
they are momentary at each end with a click, the AA battery is there to show the relative size. perfect for finger to push at each end and the size is right.
The AR9X board is fully functioning. Voice is great. Just for your info, that spker from AR9X needs 'break in', initially it does not sound so good. But without changing anything, used it for a few days, it now sounds great. I thought spker breaking in is only needed for high end large spker, did not realize this little bugger also need break in. ;)
Looks like it is about time to put a mock board as Flypanel and transfer the tx main board and other stuff to it now.
