Hello
Jhsa I have a question:
voice flight modes (RTL, loiter, etc.) are assigned to the information received from the telemetry, or position switches (L1, L2, etc)?

I don't use those but I think you assign them to the switch positions that control each of those modes..

Hi Cub,
I believe you have used opentx in the pass and now with your upgrade to the 9Xtreme, which uses erSky9x firmware you will be using eepSkye on your PC.
You will need to make some change when changing over to erSky9x.
If you have not found more info for your 9Xtreme radio go here
and look for Voice Pack: (viewtopic.php?f=95&t=7182).

Hi guys... cub here has been having trouble with this for awhile and I suggested he post here to get some ideas from those that know the audio better than I do. I *suspect* his issue is with file naming and/or placement. Apparently he's seeing correct values and he's hearing words but not the associated values. I'm hoping some of you can help him troubleshoot. I can't imagine there's any possibility this is a hardware issue, given the symptoms.

Hi Cub,
Can you post a copy of your model eeprom radio program here ? :?:
Using eepSkye save your 9Xtreme model eeprom program to your PC and then make a copy of it as a zip file
and post the eeprom zip file here and then we take a look at it.
I think maybe you are not making the proper settings for your voices to work properly.

Cub, I think you are just using the wrong voice pack, or if you have the right one it might not be well installed.
Please download the pack again, rename the "voice" folder on your SD Card to something else, extract the pack to the root directory of the card. It should create a new "voice" folder with other 3 folders inside.
I am not at the computer now.. will post links to the pack you should download soon, unless someone does it before of course ;) :)

Bob I think that voice pack you linked is not the right one.. Actually it might be that one that is causing his problems.

Cub, please follow the link below and download the voice pack called " Voice Pack for Ersky9x r218 and above_v1.0.zip"

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7715

Actually I think I will remove the old pack to avoid more problems like this one. There were already some cases of people downloading the wrong pack.

Don't attach things to posts like that mid discussion, it makes a huge mess that can't be corrected later and causes confusion. Link to the place where it's originally posted, so that if it has to be changed or removed it's done only once with no outdated remnants.

What versions are the things you posted? In what particular case are they the good thing to use?`Not enough detail.

Hi Kilrah, Understood.

Hi João, I down loaded it from the same place you linked to.

Cub was directed to this already, so I posted them in ZIP files thinking it would be a better help.

Added: I see now, I had choose the (old) wrong voice file, my error. :(

I don't think that was better because you gave it exactly the same name of the old pack.. :) Confusing. as Kilrah suggests, please post links to the original files. If they need fixes or replacement it will be done only on their original place, preventing people from downloading the wrong files from other places.

I see my error and the problems it will cause now.
Did not understand (see/know) that there are two voice packs to choose from.
I see it now, do not know why I missed that. I needed to be updated, thank you! :D

No problem :) I think I will really remove the old pack. I think people that use old versions of the firmware already downloaded it before.
New people will install the latest version so it doesn't make sense having the old pack on the first post. Will be removed in a while.

It does say there ;)
Voice pack for ersky9x r218 onwards
it is the one for the latest versions of the fw. But I have just noticed that Mike didn't include the "modelNames" folder and the other docs and extras from the original voice pack zip file..
I think it would be a good idea to at least include the "modelNames" folder as some people might not know it is needed for the model names voice files.
The easiest would be to just upload the voice pack found here on the first post to er9x.com

The old voice pack for Ersky9x 217 and earlier was removed from the first post. So there is only one voice pack now. If you have an old version of the firmware installed on your radio, you probably already have the old voice pack anyway.
It is recommended to update to the latest version anyway. You can find it at:

Hi João,
I may be having a brain freeze or not up-to-date using the new voice pack with the newest erSky9x (r218) firmware.

I have just updated my Taranis from an old TEST version of ErSky9x_x9d firmware to the newest ErSky9x_x9d (r218) firmware
with the newest erSky9x voice pack and added my custom voices (names) to the user folder.

I see a new folder named modelNames with Model_1 to Model_5 voices in it.
Is this folder (modelNames) to hold individual eeprom model voices ? :?:

I am having trouble programming a one-time custom eeprom model voice only at radio start up for a particular eeprom model.

Hi João,
Found my problem with one-time custom eeprom model voice only at radio start up for a particular eeprom model.
I missed setting "once" for the Rate setting.

I don't really understand what you mean by "one-time custom eeprom model"?? :o :o
Aren't you mixing opentx and ersky9x together somewhow?? :)

In Ersky9x you place your model names in the "modelNames" folder,
Then go to ModelSetup/General, go down to voice and select your model name there.
I know, a number (260) is shown by default, which doesn't make sense when we don't have numbered files anymore.. Confusing. That is why I asked Mike if he could change it.. I don't know what is the point of keeping numbers there when we don't use them anymore.. :o
But then, I was called all the bad names on this planet by another forum member for asking that.. :(

Anyway, just go to that menu, go down to voice, highlight that very "useful and not at all confusing" number :) and press menu long. This will list the model name files in the "modelNames" folder. Press short menu to listen to the file, or press long menu to select the file to be used..

Hi João,
Sorry for the confusion, the "one-time custom eeprom model", my hope is this meaning
is "one-time custom eeprom model voice" sound file to be played one-time when Radio is first powered up.
I got that fixed, :D for I had missed setting the "once" in the "Rate" setting, at ModelSetup/General/voice.

Next, I observed in the newest: Voice Pack for Ersky9x r218 and above_v1.0.zip: (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7715).
We receiver 3 folders: "Docs" (How to make your own Voice files), "Extras" (4 radio Welcome voice files) and
"voice" (which has 3 folders): 1 "modelNames" (with 5 voice files): Model_1, Model_2, Model_3, Model_4, Model_5, and
next is 2 "system" (which seems to have both number and name voice files together) and
next is 3 "user" (which I believe is where the name voice files are and where we add our custom name voice files).

So I am not sure how the "modelNames" folder is being used here ? :?:

I have just explained that on my post above.. ;)
Model names are NOT supposed to be in the "Users" folder. They should be in the "modelNames" folder as the name indicate..
The model names are NOT programmed in the voice alarm menu. They are programmed in the Model Setup/General menu.
