KK v2.1 or Wii

Electronic projects that are either related to the firmwares for the 9x, or simply great for radio control applications.

KK v2.1 or Wii

Post by kaos »

Well, for some reason i am not even sure why, I end up with 2 quadcopter frame. one is reserved for erazz's pipo board. ;)
with the 2nd frame I am thinking using a cheaper board like KK or multi wii.
with no previous knowledge of quadcopter, any suggestion which board I should get and why?
I looked at these two but any other would be fine with me:

I want to be able to do self leveling /holding and flip/roll with possibility of expansion for return home. of course, price is a consideration too. ;)

what is the difference (function, programmability) between these 2 (besides on is called PRO with GPS in the package, actually with this included, the price is about the same)?

OK, I think I am going with this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... odule.html

now this is for a 450 quad.
how about some suggestion for esc/motor/prop.
criteria: powerful when needed for fast roll/flip, long flying time
I am going to put a 2g FPv cam on it, so I can take off from my pool and fly around and land back on my pool. with floating platform of course (like an oil rig). I had one made for my heli already. ;)

once I get used to the quad control board, i am going to use the control board to make my VTOL plane. Looks like the most feasible way of doing it is to make a tri EDF jet. for landing it becomes a tri-edf-copter.

P.S. - It doesn't say there but I think it supports GPS as well..
I have to say, you get into it and you get addicted.. I did.. and I don't have all the sensors because I only fly LOS.
remembered another feature.. automatic camera stabilization.. :)
