FRSKY Variometer Voltage Output

The variometer sensor outputes a rate output to give rate of climb or descent. The sensor manual quotes a formula
(Output DA Voltage - 1.65)/1.65 = Altitude rate/10.24. Is the altitude rate in this formula in units of metres per second?
