Seems that the original problems I reported earlier in this thread with EEPE have gone, and I can report that the latest version works great on my imac.

I have downloaded the Mac app from erazz's link. but after I opened it , a message pop up saying a new version r335 is available. the mac eepe installed shows r330. How do you get the r335? I did go to the site from the message, but it is the same thing.

On Mac the auto update does not work yet. It shows the current windowz version. The latest update will be posted in the 1st post here, and as of right now it is 330.
Hope that helps.

Yes, I'm sorry but it's really really difficult to cross compile for mac (compile for mac under linux or windows).

Since I don't have a MAC I must rely on Groot's services to figure out how to do this.

I know it will take a while. Don't worry. But does v330 and v335 has conflict if I use them alternately on two different platform?

build done, now just to get it uploaded.

Sorry but auto update does not work yet, so you have to manually download and run the installer. It will replace the older version with the new one.

I'm running 330 which works well but thought if upgrading after reading the post

I followed the link on this forum main page and arrived here

http://code.google.com/p/eepe/

I've downloaded the mac installer file but the dialog box appears and it's not recognised as a valid package :(

Maybe the package is corrupt?

Edit: It is fixed now.

I see the problem, erazz removed the .zip extension. fast solution is add a .zip behind and it will extract the .dmg

@erazz, I will send a new mail with a link to the .dmg directly in the next 5 min

I think the 1st post you have in this thread should stay permanently. whenever there is an update on eepe for mac or instruction. those links can be updated on the post and linked to the latest version/instruction. It is very clear and easy to get the info/data.

yes that is a given ...but there were some questions about specific versions that is now not needed any more ....and I will clean it up in the next day if no complains are coming in. I keep all links in the 1st post up to date when I build eepe

They seem to crop up every time I compile :)

I can't seem to update the eePe software to allow me to flash my TX. The revision 339 is too old and I require 432 (if I recall correctly). How can I resolve this?

Hi Guys

Eepe wants me to upgrade to r343, but the installer at http://code.google.com/p/eepe/ is only for r339. The Mac instructions on that page seem to be out of date as some nice person has created the installer and hence there appears to be no need for all that messing around. Am I wrong?

Many thanks in advance

I have eepe revision 339 (awesome program by the way) on my mac. It appears the autoupdate feature is still not working as mentioned above? My main question is is there a way to disable the mouse scroll? I have the apple magic mouse and in eepe the scroll is so sensitive that it makes it almost impossible to use eepe. It is way way way too easy to scroll and inadvertently change a setting (even when just trying to click something) and there's not really a way to click off all text boxes so that even if you do a slight scrolling action, nothing changes. Like I say it makes it almost impossible to use eepe. In all other applications the mouse scroll works just fine.
Thanks!

I just recently updated to the new software and now my eproms aren't recognized off my TX.

More details please...

Did you upgrade eepe or the firmware? What was your previous / is your current version?
Is it eepe not recognising the radio's eeprom, or the radio not recognising the eeprmos you write to it with eepe?

Version 0.97 (revision 1382), Sep 2 2012

I get an error message that says "AVRDUDE executable not found" when I attempt to read off the TX. I am fearful to load anything onto the Tx right now because of it.

In your eepe software preferences, there should be an option to set where avrdude is installed.

I know it is included on the PC version by default. For the mac you may need to install it?

I am not a mac user.. but this guide looks to do the trick?
http://wiki.xinchejian.com/wiki/Install ... c_OSX_Lion

Oh...

Without avrdude, you would not be able to flash anyway :-)

This sounds like you're using companion9x and open9x, not eepe...

Check that in "AVRDUDE settings" the location is correct (normally "/usr/local/bin/avrdude"). Failing that, reinstall C9X using the 0.97 installer here.
