D4R-2 with sport vario and battery voltage sensor

Post by kendrick57 »

Hi
I have trawled the web and found out how to connect an s-port vario or a battery voltage sensor to the D4R-2 as things stand I have fitted the vario to the D4R-2 and am sure that the battery sensor should be able to be fitted in there also as one of the pins on the D4R-2 is marked AD2. When connecting up the vario is used can AD2 be tapped into by the voltage sensor.

Depends what sensor you're talking of. If it's the FBVS-01, no you need to splice wires to connect it directly to the AD2 pin.

Hi
The sensor I have fitted is the vario with s port http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... sion_.html
And the battery monitor
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor ... stem_.html

The vario is fitted at the moment and works, the connections used on the Receiver are RX, AD2 and GND.
Is AD1 used can I splice into AD1 or can I use the output port on the vario.

Scroll down in this
http://www.eflightwiki.com/eflightwiki/ ... _Telemetry and you will find a picture and text about wiring up that sensor to the vario, I beleive.
