Taranis timer issue

Post by bmitchell138 »

I recently set up a new model on my Taranis with a countdown timer and minute reminder. I did a test flight and the time worked as I expected until it got to the 10 second mark at which point it started saying "10 seconds, 10 seconds, 10 seconds,10 seconds, 10 seconds.... all the way to 0:00. This doesn't seem like normal behavior to me. Have I missed something in the radio setup that is causing the abnormal countdown?

Perfectly normal behaviour. That's how it was set up with the original firmware. A later update gave a count down. Time to update your transmitter.

I will double check but I'm pretty sure I have 2940 installed. Is there a newer firmware version available?

Have a look here: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4582#p64580.

You will see one of the zip files includes r2940 openTx that I built including my bootloader. I also tweaked the countdown to behave better. Those are the only differences from the 'official' r2940.
