Here is the question:
Here is Showmaster's kind answer:I have the Turnigy 9X V2 Tx. I like the idea of just plug in the Frysky module. But this way , I can't use the stock module any more cause I have to desolder the antenna or cut it. Is it possible to solder a simple single pin on the stock module and solder a single pin connector to the stock antenna wire. This way I can unplug the stock antenna and remove the stock module and plug in the Frysky DJT module? Leave the stock antenna there. when I want to use the stock module, just plug in the stock antenna to the pin soldered on the stock module? I have about 15 stock Rx and 12 models on the stock already.
and this is what I am suppose to use with myTx right?

and Yes, I do have 2 Turnigy 9X. But there are model/plane already set up in one of them with stock firm ware. It is a real chore to reset 5 heli, 3 planes at the same time. I will move one by one to the other er9x flashed Tx when they crash and needs to be reset any way.Yes the DJT is the correct module that matches the turinigy 9x module pins. The rx with that combo will be the latest version of the d8r II plus, mine were.
I search on the 9x forum or a post requesting info on using both the stock 9x module and the DJT should get you some good options.
To still use the original Turnigy module as HK has modified the antenna connection does create a challenge. HK I'm sure planed it this way. The FlySky TX comes with the antenna mounted on the module and is the best way to go since you just plug in the original or the Frsky DJT and the antenna goes along.
I bought 1 FlySky 9x from leaders hobby just to because their system setup has the antenna mounted on the stock 9x module so the antenna goes with the module I use and is not on the case with a soldered coax to deal with.
What others are doing is to remove the antenna from the HK 9x case and mounting it on the 9x module. Some buy an extra coax and connector accessory and drill a hole in the module back to mount the connector in and solder the coax end to the module. Others have reused the original antenna and coax and have made brackets or glued the antenna to the module back. I'm not in favor of glue but if it works it works?
I think a post requesting ideas will get you a lot of good ideas and pictures of options.
The actual antenna is the last 3/4 or so inches of the tip of the rubber antenna. The most important thing is to make sure the coax shield and center conductor goes back where they were soldered on the modules original solder pads. Coax is transmission line and can be shortened but must be kept electrically the same connections on the module to radiate the rf from the actual antenna at the tip.
Maybe a simple bracket on the module back for strength out of thin brass etc to mount the antenna on?
So...
Your options
Mount the antenna on the 9x module and off the case.
*** another radical but good option to use what you own now!
Remove the 9x module deck from it's case and mount it inside the 9x case and reconnect the case antenna leaving the module bay open for the DJT module with its own antenna and run 2 systems at the same time or add a switch to power off the internal rf deck when not in use.*****
Find a FlySky rf module with antenna on it.
A second FlySky or Turnigy TX for your older RX's.
I hope these ideas help. Let me know what you finally decided on and let others on the forum know so it can help others.

But I already have 2 heli and one plane already set up in the other ER9X Tx too. For newer module or FPV model I am planning on build, I want to use Frysky module to get longer range. But still use the old stock RF module to fly what is already set up there.
So I did find at leaders hobby the Flysky RF module: http://www.leaderhobby.com/product.asp?ID=9394001220452
I assume this module will work with my Turnigy 9X v2 Tx. All I have to do is remove the old soldered module/antenna and just switch between the Frysky and Flysky module(plug and play) to fly. This is probably the easiest way and without any 'mod' or soldering at all beside cutting a wire and remove old antenna. (now you know I am lazy) Also this will leave me with only one antenna instead of two ugly antenna at the same time.
Now here is the thought. Once the Tx becomes true modular. I don't even need to do the 1K mod on Tx for simulator any more? right?. Just unplug the module and connect to simulator?
And with both my Tx already has HK blue led in there, is there still a need to jump the wire from 3rd to the 470 ohm resistor and cut the trace between the 5th solder to the 470 ohm resistor for either simulator use or Trainer/master function?
From what i have been reading. for trainer/function of the stock module , I still need to do this but for Frysky module I don't need to do this, correct?
