No output to PC/Sim?

Post by BieneFlyer »

Hi all,

I have a USB interface cable with audio jack type connector.

Plugged it into the jack on the rear of my TGY 9X but there is no response in Windows XP game controller setup.

It does power up the Tx as soon as I connect it. Is that normal ?

The USB cable is fine, works with my old Hitec Flash 5 ok. It came with adaptor for the Hitec 5 pin jack and the 1/4" Audio jack that fits JR (and the TGY 9X).

Any ideas appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul.

Stock firmware? Replacement firmware?
Have you removed the Tx module?

Hi Mike,

It's a TGY 9X with FIrmware (Revision 2 or something according to Hobby King).

Haven't removed module as it is tethered to the Tx by some cable...?

Do you really need to remove the module in order to use it with a sim ?

Cheers,

Paul.

It can help. Try with the module out to see if it works.

Next up is that some of the cheap USB dongles don't appreciate radios that send out more than 6 channels on the trainer port. The 9x sends out 8, and unless you reflash it it's not configurable.

Just pop the module out of the back, that cable is the antenna wire, it needs to stay connected.
