stuck when trying set fuse

i've been using er9x for a while already... but just start to try eepe out today

here's the detail

plug in usbasp> plug data cord to usb> switch tx power on> screen showing LOADING model 1 > eepe config set port blank> set fuse
PC: avrdude.exe: error: could not find USB device "USBasp" with vid=0x16c0 pid=0x5dc
tx: still stay at loading model 1


plug in usbasp> switch tx power on> plug data cord to usb> screen jump to model sel > eepe config set port blank> set fuse
PC: avrdude.exe: warning: cannot set sck period. please check for usbasp firmware update.
tx: stuck at alert screen, cannot skip. no respond pushing any button.
unplug cord>> back to normal

pretty sure solder is connected
usb programmer is working (same one i used for flash er9x in and flash esc)

anyone can help me figure how can solve it?

You shouldn't need to power the Tx on, programming power should come from the USBASP.
I think you need to set the port to USB in the eepe burn configure dialog.

it occurs like this

plug usbasp to pc > plug cord to tx(powered off)>tx screen showing LOADING MODEL > set fuse> alert screen, switch warning( all switches at right position) stuck here>> eepe showing cannot set sck.. target not response

Can you read/write your eeprom and flash correctly?
If not try getting this to work before trying to set fuses. If something goes wrong while setting fuses you can end with a dead radio.

it does not
read memory/flash new fw
i will probably cut off all the solders(altho they are pretty tight on the pads) and redo some soldering.. and see if it helps

update. the solders are checked and connected on the right pads
got the correct usbasp driver. latest eepe

i wonder if it has something to do with my tx? connect usbsap to tx. then connect to usb.. it stucks at Loading Model01
can someone tell me what do you guys get at this step?

TX should turn on as normal and get to the home screen. Staying on Loading model could probably mean you have a stuck key.

If you power the radio up as usual, without connecting it to the PC, is everything OK?

if i plug in usbsap after power up tx... it jumps to a random screen like a button is pressed...
but all the buttons are up... i will check the buttons and those connections too.... probably wire is jammed or something when i install the backlight...

update

there might be something wrong with my programmer.. when the tx is on.. and plug programmer to tx.. it acts like [menu] is pushed... might get another programmer sometime to check it out i guess

One of the programming signals (SCK) does connect to the same signal the MENU button connects to.

There is a kind of programmers that push SCK down when powered on. (I have experienced this issue on latest USBASP 2.0 marked LCSOFT Studio)

One possible solution is to update the firmware of the programmer.

i'll try to flash the old one..( altho it used to not having the problem)
and the new one should arrive today... hopefully that works well
