3D printed battery spacer for 3s 2200mah battery

Post by discojon »

Greetings,

I am a new owner the 9XR Pro and the first thing I noticed was how poorly the recommended 3s battery fit. If you have this combo you know what I mean. I came up with a nice 3d printed spacer to ensue a great fit. Not sure of the rules on the forum here but if I'm allowed to, I can make them available to the community.

To be honest I'm not sure about selling but if you're not a vender and more a hobby diy'er, it may be ok. I would think posting what it would cost you to make it to sell, would be ok. For details ask to have a private message sent for details. The forum and site admin may be ok with it all.
I'll ask because I'm curious, what would something like this cost to make own if I can't print it myself?

The actual production cost is minimal. I'm just a hobby diyer. I can post the files on thingiverse for those that have access to a printer. If you had one printed via 3Dhubs or any other online service I'd say you be $15 or so. I can do it for much less. If an admin could pm me rules about offering these I'd appreciate it. Not looking to get rich, just mainly cover costs and contribute to the community how I can

I don't have an issue with any selling at a low comercial volume like this.
Slope Soaring, FPV, and pretty much anything 'high tech'
...........if you think it should be in the wiki.. ask me for wiki access, then go add it!

Surely a piece of foam wrapped in tape would provide the same function for practically nothing nor any effort!

@Bill +1!

That is, what I have here. I thought, that is not worth to talk about ....

It is just a piece of foam

Since it's ok for them to be made available, I have added to my website for purchase. I also added a coupon code for the forum for free shipping. The code is 9XRPRO.

Could be useful, but I couldn't use one because:
1. I still use NiMh cells.
2. Part of my battery bay is also occupied with a bluetooth module!

Same here.. And at the moment I'm also testing some li-ion cels. Not very impressed with them at the moment, but might have been a bad batch from banggood.. :(

I'd be glad to custom design one for your specific setup if you are interested.
