New owner couple ?

Post by gatonini »

Hi

I'm just going to receive my radio tomorrow I have a couple question should I back up the origional software on the radio before flashing to r217. Also is it safe to turn the radio on without a module installed hasn't arrived yet ?

Thanks
Gary

There is no need to back up the original firmware. It is, in fact, r204 of ersky9x.
It is quite safe to operate the Tx without a module. The thing NOT to do is operate a module without an antenna attached.

Go here:

viewtopic.php?f=122&t=5680

and download the pack named "Voice Pack 9XR-Pro 16Khz.zip"

extract the zip file to the root directory of your radio's SD Card, and replace the old files.

You can also read this manual.. it is for er9x, not ersky9x, but the basics are the same, and there is good info to get you started with programming. Ersky9x only has a few more features.
