sticks midpoint problem

Hi, Im new to this hobby.
I bought turnigy 9xr mode 1 - only this was avaliable in uk warehouse and q-bot micro.
I started by converting the radio to mode 2. after everything was completed I paired the radio with bot, but its hard to conttrol and starts just like te sticks were not propertly calibrated.
I see in tthe radio setup that if I move the left stick to left and release then it shows on the ANA screen that it changes to -100 and back to 0,but when I move it right then it goes to 100 and goes back to 3. same problem with right stick. Is it normal and can it be corrected through calibration (tried a couple of times) or do I have to take the radio apart and try tighten or loosen something at the sticks ??
