I fabricated a Spektrum module based on OSH Park board, DM9 case and a RF module from a Spektrum DX4e.
The build is good and I have double checked all components and connection.
I set up a new model - on Taranis with internal RF 'OFF'.
External RF to DSM DSMX, channel range 1-6.
My problem - cannot bind to a Spektrum AR6200 or any other Spektrum compatible receivers that I currently use.
The Taranis does not beep or chirp when I enter 'BIND" mode. The receiver LED just flashes. I have moved the TX in excess of 4 feet and still no BIND.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Taranis Plus and Spektrum DM9 module
Don't know about your particular module, I have an Orange module, and you must use the bind button on the Orange module not the one in OpenTX. Pretty sure your module must operate the same, and this would explain why you get no bind chirp as well.

Nope, the DIY Dx4e-based module binds from the menu.
Knowing the firmware version could help.

Re: Taranis Plus and Spektrum DM9 module
You need to set the module to PPM, the DM9 takes PPM and talks DSM2. Set the channel range to 1-8 as well (it's a 9ch module, but 8 is usually better for PPM)
DSM DSMX channel 1-6 is for a Spektrum Hack Module.
Bind is via the bind button on the module.

Re: Taranis Plus and Spektrum DM9 module
If you read the post it's not actually a DM9 but precisely a hack module in a DM9 case.
