Hi all,
on Christmas day Frsky released an update for the XJT module and they said: "FrSky has improved the performance of the BK-RF board of Taranis X9D Plus since Nov. 15th, 2016. For those with production dates between Nov. 15th, 2016 to Dec. 23rd, 2016, if you’d like to use with LR12 mode (L9R receiver), pls flash the firmware to Ver161214. For those with production dates earlier than Nov. 15th, 2016, no need to flash the firmware. For those with production dates later than Dec. 23rd, 2016, Ver161214 firmware will be as default."
My question is: If they improved, why do they say that all taranis prior to Nov 15th, 2016, dont need to flash the firmware. . Whats the improvement after all???
I dont get it.

Re: XJT New update. - update or not?
It seems, FrSky changed the hardware of the Taranis plus RF backboard 2016-11-15. These new backboards need the new firmware to work in LR12 mode. Presumably the D8 and D16 firmware part was not modified at all.
What happens, if you flash an older board with this firmware accidentally? The braves will find out
