Taranis DEAD !!!!!

i have a magnifying glass and light and soldering/hot air station. i may order some solder paste and surface mounts from mouser or digikey and try to use hot air to fix it. do you know the case size of these surface mount resistors?

Hi aw73,
I have the Aoyue 968A+ Soldering Station and used the Hot Air Gun to replace the micro components and chips when repairing 9x radios.
With much needed help from MikeB, João and others I was able to make the needed repairs and upgrades.
Openrcforums members (like MikeB, João and Kilrah) are better with helping you with finding and repairing your Taranis-X9D then I am able to.
Maybe someone will help with finding what size and where to fine the resistors you need.

Members of this openrcforums will not abandon you, but will help you through the process to get your Taranis-X9D working again.
I suggest following MikeB request step by step (try not to get ahead of what Mike ask you to do) to help find where the problem is.

thanks to everyone for your help. i really do appreciate it. i do read his and everyones post and take everyones advice, but not sure you read my post earlier, R91 has to be on the board before i proceed checking any voltages. thats why i ask if mike or anyone knows the case size of these surface mount resistors? or a place i can buy the original taranis x9d mainboard? every where i look they only have the x9d plus board.

I have the same older Taranis model (X9D) radio.
I wish I had the Plus but this one dose everything I need and I use erSky9x on Taranis, which is able to do more
for me then the opentx firmware is able to do for my needs (opentx is good firmware too).

Aloft Hobbies (http://alofthobbies.com/radio/tx-gear/t ... s.html?p=1) is not listing the back board anymore,
but they do have the Power Switch board.

Some prefer openTX and some prefer Ersky9x. I'm also an Ersky9x user, and one of the reasons is that is much more flexible as far as hardware is concerned, on the radios I have.

i have a new board on the way from aloft. when i change the board i will use my calipers to measure the resistors case size and post it just in case someone else has this problem. they look like 0402 but i cant be sure.
