QX7 and FMS-simulator, which cable?

I want to use a QX7 with a fms simulator.
Which cable do I need? Is a certain dongle required or is a simple usb cable sufficent? Maybe it works via the trainerport?

FMS works with a joystick AFAIK so a usb cable is all you need.
