Hello guys!
I want to put a NIMH-battery into my QX7. Is it possible to solder an extra lead to the battery and use this for charging, while leaving the the 2s-plug connected to the transmitter? Or does this any damage to the radio?
Thanks

Works perfectly OK, I have such an arrangement on my QX7. The only "extra" thing I have done is to include a diode in the charging connection to prevent the charger being connected with reverse polarity.

Another question popped up:
I bought some rechargable AAs, would you solder 'em together to a pack or just throw it into the supplied battery holder?

I always make up a pack, I just don't trust a battery holder, too many connections, any one of which could fail, and they tend to have a relatively high resistance.

Battery holders have several decades of experience killing models. If not already when new corrosion always ends up creeping in after a few years.

Ok, so I make pack!
