Hello,
What I think the 9xd really misses is a rotary encoder for navigation: when will this need be considered by Frisky?

Re: When a Taranis 9XD with a rotary encoder for navigation
Mechanically it is difficult to fit a rotary encoder on the Taranis, without needing a new case moulding.
Using ersky9x firmware on a Taranis, I support replacing one of the two rotary pots with a rotary encoder that connects to the pot signal using 4 resistors.

Hy,
Yes would be very nice to have an Encoder
Add/replace of an 3 Pos Switch at a X9E or X9D or a Poti

On the X9D plus (ersky9x firmware), you are also able to use the "spare" analog input for a rotary encoder, so could replace one of the switches with an encoder.
The X9E comes with an encoder already.

Hy Mike,
yes, but only with your ersky software, not with openTx
there was a question too, useing the encoder-wheel of the X9E, QX7, Horus, as an Input for GVar settings

Again, already available in ersky9x.

Better than the wheel is the cilinder used in the Spektrum radio and some JR.
The 9xd chassis is a clone of the JR x9303, but the encoder for navigation is not included: that's really a pity.
