Hi,
New to the Taranis X9D plus radio. Got it delivered this morning.
I am wanting to upload new firmware. but I have a few questions.
1.Is e9dp_rom.bin the correct firmware for my radio?
2. I can edit the models with eepe or eepeSky?
3. How can I transfer my 9XR pro radio models to the Taranis?
Can you point me to step by step instructions ?
Sorry to be such a nubie.

For ersky9x, the correct file is x9dp_rom.bin for the Taranis plus.
Yes, eepskye supports reading and writing the EEPROM and editing the models.
Connect the 9XR-PRO to your PC and read the EEPROM into eepskye. Now disconnect the 9XR-PRO.
Connect the Taranis plus to your PC, and read the EEPROM into eepskye. You should now have two windows open in eepskye. Simply drag models from the 9XR-PRO window to the Taranis Plus window. Finally, write the Taranis Plus window back to the Taranis Plus.
You will need to check the models as the 'PRO and the 'Plus have different numbers of pots and switche types.

Re: Don't want to do something stupid!
Update.
After many "lets try it again" I seem to be able to edit the eeprom file now! And my old model shows up...
Thanks I am sure I will be back for more help!
some success.
was able to flash new firmware (x9dp_rom.bin).
Still unable to change eeprom . Have tried to read in eeprom from 'plus into eePskye, change the name of the file and write it back to the radio. I get an error message saying that it is an invalid eeprom file.
Attached is a screen snap of preferences window.
any suggestions? Please. Thanks

Did you do this:
May try shut-down mac and reboot, may help.

Remember to save everything to your mac before flashing back to Taranis.MikeB wrote: ↑Fri May 12, 2017 9:09 pm You should now have two (1st: 9xr-pro eeprom window and 2nd: Taranis eeprom window) windows open in eepskye.
Simply drag (each model) models from the 9XR-PRO window to the Taranis Plus window.

You will need to check the models (each model settings) as the 'PRO and the 'Plus have different numbers of pots and switches types.

Re: Don't want to do something stupid!
Thanks I have got the model editing working.. All seems OK BUT I am not getting sound now.
I have checked to make sure the sound files are there. I added a few of my own from the 'Pro radio. I also don't see the images show neither.
Is the directory structure different?
Here is what I have. What else do I need to check/change.
Thanks
