Trims in openTx V2.1.9

Hi,

I have a question about trims moving when flight mode changes.

I have two flight modes. My elevator and rudder were trimmed (so trim are not centered) with mixer at 70 for flight mode 1.
When I switch to flight mode 2, they both move slightly which I believe is normal since flight mode 2 has mixer at 100.

What is the best way to keep the same elevator and rudder positions when I switch flight modes?

In the flight modes menu I see the trims for each surface, R,E,T,A but I don't know how to adjust them.
I see 0,0+,1,1+,2,2+,3,3+ up to 8, 8+. How does that work?
How can I adjust the trims so they don't move when flight mode changes?

Thanks
Ray

Hy,

the source for trim value at a flight mode can be selected

A) each flight mode has its own trim value
or
B) trim values comes from an other flight mode

think A) will be best

C) trim value is that of another mode, plus own offset

Thanks for the answers.

My question was mainly on trim numbers in the flight modes menu.

What are these? 0, 0+, 1, 1+, 2, 2+,,,,, 8, 8+

Thanks
Ray

Hi,

OK I think I got the 0,0+ 1,1+....8,8+, these are the flight modes selections and + for offsets.

But what I don't understand is why do I need to trim R,E,T,A for every flight mode?
Lets say the elevator was trimmer in flight mode 0 and the trim value is 17.5, then this value should not change for all the flight mode? It should be always 17.5 regardless of the flight mode? Right? how can I ensure the 17.5 trim value will remain the same for all flight modes?
This trim value changes each time flight mode changes.

Please advise.

Hi,

OK I got this trim settings.
Each flight mode can force another flight mode settings, set it's own, or with offset.
Sorry I did not understand your answers, they were clear. More coffee for me....

Hi,

Trims again, sorry.

It seems that when flight mode 0 is selected in other flight modes for trims, it does not always work.
When flight modes 1,2,3... are used in other flight modes, then it works, but for some reason flight mode 0 trims used in other flight modes do not work.
I tried everything and all situations work except when flight mode 0 is used for other flight modes trims.

You should not post your email in clear on a forum, and rather contact him using the private message system.
