FrSky Lipo sensor...wiring in series
I'm running two 3S packs in series. Is it possible for the frsky lipo sensor to read the cell voltages from both packs as if it were a single 6s pack. If I made a custom wiring harness where the ground leads from the 2 packs were Y'd into one 6s connector would this work?

No, it wouldn't work but it would be fun to watch
The ground lead of the second pack will be at the same potential as the + of the first one. So if you connect both grounds you will be shorting the first pack completely. That of course, could cause some interesting fireworks

I think the custom harness would work, but it would need to be the ground of one pack y'd with the positive of the other pack. Would need to be the wires of the balance connector that are the same connection as the main leads that are connected together. Would have to be really carefully to make it foolproof because getting it wrong would be spectacular.

If your 2 lipo are in serie, your 2 lipo works as a 6S.
You can measure the 6 cells using the Frsky sensor if you make a cable with two 4 pins connectors (each will be plug into 1 lipo) and one 7 pins connector (to be plugged in the sensor).
Repair which lipo gives the general ground for your esc. Make sure the ground from this lipo goes to the ground of your 7 pin connector.
Do not connect the ground from the other lipo to your 7 pin connector (this voltage is already connected via the pin 4 from from your first lipo.
Be very careful when you connect your cable to your lipo. You MAY NOT invert the 4 pins connectors. You must always connect the connector with the 4 soldered pins to the lipo that gives the general ground to the ESC (and so connect the connector with only 3 soldered pins to the other lipo.

Yeah, if you swap the connectors.... BAAM!!

A month today would be a good time to try it if you are in the UK.
