Hi Fellas
I am new to Taranis by about 2 months. Just now trying to use either of my JR 2.4Gh DM9 modules to bind with an AR7010-X Rx.
Both modules work fine in the JR radio, 9303. When I power up the Taranis X9E while holding in the button, after a few seconds the module lights up solid, NOT blinking. (As it does in the JR)
I have the X9E settings as ; PPM, 1-7 ch, 22.5ms 300u +
I checked the voltage from end pin to opposite end pin in both Tx'ers. The JR shows 0.0 V, the Taranis shows 1.25V Probably means nothing but...
Any ideas???
Thx

Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
Thanks BossHawg but no joy.
The module when in the T X9E lights up steadily a couple seconds after powerup with button held in.
The Rx just keeps blinking.
My other module doesn't light up at all! Yet both work fine in my JR 9303.
In the JR radio the older module (Separate antenna) blinks till I let my finger off, then steady on and bound.
In the JR radio the newer module (One piece) blinks immediately, let button go, then in a second steady on and bound.
I have some Orange receivers, I'll give one a try tonight.
This is confusing...

Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
I just got my Orange receivers working!!!
The Tx settings have to be;
PPM CH 1-?
22.5ms 300-400u (-) NOT +
Now the module lights work and blink.
The Spectrum AR7010-X still no response! I wonder if it is because it is an "X" series???
I'm running 2.1.8 firmware. Any chance that could be it?

Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
The DM9 does not do DSMX, only DSM2. AFAIK some of the latest receivers and UMX models do not support DSM2 anymore, only DSMX.
Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
Apologies 4 late reply dug out my DM9 module,could bind 2 an Spektrum AR9000 & Orange ORX 7Ch dsm2
using these settings.
Also made sure on Mixer page that i had enabled the relevant Channels
Think kilrah nailed it European RX's don't seem to be backwards compatible with dsm2 anymore whilst US do!..

Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
Thanks gentlemen.
Last comment is the Spectrum AR7010-X Rx DOES work fine with the JR Tx (DSM-2) and either module.
So I expect the Rx is backwards compatible, just not using the Taranis X9E. ???
When I set the Taranis to DSM mode the Spectrum-X Rx lights did flash then go solid but no servo movement at all.
I see you have chosen 24.5ms for Spectrum and 22.5ms for Orange. Is that what I should choose?
Thx again

Re: Binding with a JR DM9 External Module
The 24.5 & 22.5 figures come from changing the number of channels to output(they update as you change
the end channel number).
Ps for BNF Spektrum models the Mixer value should be reduced from 100% to 80% to avoid
overdriving the linear servos!...
