Binding Taranis X9D to Orange R615X

Newbie here (you can tell by the post count)
2 hours with Google and none the wiser
How do I Bind Taranis X9D to Orange R615X
tried and faailed so far.
all I can find is how to with an external module - which I don't have
software on the TX is opentx-taranisplus-en-2.1.8

You need an external module to bind to a DSM receiver, no other option as that's a completely different system from the built-in one.
