Hello All,
I have searched quite a bit around this topic but can only find answers regarding EU Taranis issues. I am running opentx 2.1.6 brand new radio and I am trying to bind it with the d4r-ii (the receiver and transmitter came in a package) On my Taranis there is no d8 option for binding only d16 and lr12.
That said my questions are:
1. How can you tell if you have received a EU radio or a US radio (I am in the US so I would think it would be a US radio).
2. If it is a US radio how do I get the D8 option on the Taranis plus.
3. Is there a way around this without buying a new transmitter.
I appreciated your responses and apologize if this question has been answered. This is my first build and all I am wanted to do is get out and fly for the first time.
Thanks,
Paul

No D8 suggests you have the EU version of OpenTX installed.
Current EU radios come with a yellow sticker on the back stating they are the new EU-LBT version.
What you get depends on the seller more than where YOU are located so knowing that, checking their listing, or asking them would help clarifying things.

Re: Taranis plus not binding with d4r-ii (US edition I hope)
I purchased it from Amazon.com who is a reseller for US Hobby. I will check with them. The sticker on the back of the remote says A01 US DP. which would lead me to believe it is a US version but I will do some more research. On the opentx site do you have a suggestion of how to find the specific US OpenTX firmware to install?
Thanks.
Thanks.
