Mixer question

In the mixer screen, where I choose the source, if for e.g.I want the throttle stick as the source, I have two choices, with a different icon to the left of the text 'THR'

One is like a capital i the other might be a picture of the stick.

What is the difference, they both seem to be the same.

The one with the is the Input that is defined on the Inputs screen and would usually hold your multiple rates, expo adjsutments etc. The one without is always the raw stick position.
