Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Hi!
I'm using OpenTX 2.1.3 on Taranis Plus and I noticed that function "Play value" plays the wrong value. I'm using it with FrSky D4R-II on a cleanflight enabled naze32 board. The telemetry screens are reporting correct VFAS values and so does the TOP BAR. I have a custom logical switch defined (SH) to play the value of VFAS and it plays weird values. If the correct value is 10.88V, it will say "ten volts", then, at times, when VFAS value is 12V it would say "eleven volts" or sometimes it would say "eleven point three". The point is, the values being played are bogous and are not what they should be.
I even tried setting the value to cells, but it does not work either. Any ideas as to why this might be happening?
Kind regards,
Miha.

There is a different sound pack required for 2.1! http://www.open-tx.org/downloads.html

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
I've replaced the sound files on SD card with Amber's voice and it is still reporting the wrong values. For instance:
Taranis would play 12.9 volts. Why? I don't think it is just sound files.
Also, regarding the timer. It would play "1" for 1 minute, then "2.0" (two point o) for two minutes. Isn't that strange?
Regards,
Miha.
ps: I'm running firmware 2.1.5 and previously I was on 2.1.3. The sound files have been merged with official english-american 2.1 and https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/178 ... icroSD.zip (from this page: http://open-txu.org/home/continuing-edu ... -addendum/)

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Both of these issues match with an incorrect pack, so you must have merged things wrong.

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Guys, you were right. I erased the contents of SOUNDS directory and added the ones from the site and it is working as expected now. I need to try Amber's sounds as well.
Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
I have the same problem .. I also downloaded sounds from some post on Reddit .. I think it was Amber who did the voiceover.
My girlfriend says those voices are needlessly sexual ... lol. I guess I won't be using them until this is fixed. I will try to find that post and alert the guy posting they are not cataloged properly.

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
The original Amber pack was made for 2.0.
Some people have made a 2.1 compatible version that you should be able to find on one of the RCGroups Taranis thread where it was first created.

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Actually there is a 2.1 Amber pack on the OpenTX soundpack site. http://voices-21.open-tx.org/opentx-taranisplus/en/
Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
How you guys do if you want to do custom sound files like model names, etc, when using that voice pack?

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
You make some that don't match using the usual tools... Apparently many people prefer using that voice than having a matched pack.
Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Ok, I'm not criticizing. Just wondered how people could make their own files. Had my answer, they can't. Thanks
I like to have all with the same voice..

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
Given it was a real person being recorded they can't indeed.
Well actually for a while after it was first released the authors would take requests and record them, but as usual that lasted a couple of months and they moved on to something else.

Re: Play value VFAS - wrong value?!?
You can use something like festival voice generator or possibly like http://www.acapela-group.com/ that can generate sound files to be used in the radio.
I like the same voice for all my sounds as well.
