Taranis region TX power

Post by Marco330 »

Hi people,

In the general setup of the Taranis there is an option for US and European region settings, I understood that there is a difference in output power and frequencies. Is there a link or topic on what the power output is in the 2 different settings?
Thanks,
Marco

My spectrum analyzer shows no difference at all between the 3 settings with the current firmwares.

Thank you Kilrah, great info! Hmmm, so why bother with different settings ... I tried Google for general 2.4 GHz r/c gear specs, but it's a jungle out there! Impossible to find the real value's

What about the Rxs? They receive the value when binding. I believe the Tx module only notes the value when binding as well. Kilrah, did you do a bind after changing the value?

Ah no, didn't bind. Only cycled power.
I'll try to find time to try again when binding.

BTW what I saw needs correction, on (likely, then) Europe setting they use only the 2400-2450 MHz range instead of the full 2400-2483. This used to be required by France only, and is now obsolete altogether.
