Play rssi value

Post by ThePilsbo »

Just got my Taranis and trying to set up the radio to play rssi value. I choose function "Play Value" under custom functions, but can't find rssi when I look under "Param" amongst other telemetry values. What is the "Param" name for rssi?

Yes, thanks! RX seems to be the same value displayed on the transmitter.

Just had a look at mine, running on FW 2688, the RSSI parameter is available and as expected reports in db. I guess you may need to rev up the firmware.

If you mean that it should not report the RSSI in Decibels. you are correct. It is just a number and nothing else. Personally I would be happy for it to say "xxx Jellybabies" :)

Are you sure that it reports anything in db? The telemetry display and the voice reports do not specify units as far as I can determine or have seen/heard on the radio.

Only reporting what mine says! Mind you I am going a bit deaf, it might be saying " Jelly bees" :)

I'm still trying to decide what my Taranis running opentx is calling it when she signs on.
To be fair computer generated voices can be very difficult to get sounding right.
I'm sure more voice packs will arrive as more users come on board.
