I have a taranis which I have re-flashed to pure OpenTx.
I am getting a bug-like behaviour with country code.
Reading and writing eeprom between taranis and Companion9X seems to change country code from europe to america.
My taranis is set to Europe.
If I read the eeprom into Companion9X and open general settings, C9X shows code is America!
I change it back to Europe in C9X, do some model programming and write the eeprom back to taranis, taranis is now America even though I ensured C9X was europe before writing it back.

possible bug?
Re: possible bug?
What happens if you leave it set to US in c9x, after you put it back in the TX? Maybe the labels are switched on one side.

Re: possible bug?
Then C9x simply has the number->country mapping wrong
Re: possible bug?
So it will be fixed sometime?
