X9D only 9 channels?
X9D only 9 channels?
Might be a stupid question, but I can't get channel 10 on my first 10 channel receiver to work. The display shows output, but a servo attached to receiver channel 10 just slams all the way to one end (tried multiple servos). I was under the impression that I had 16 channels, but maybe not?
Re: X9D only 9 channels?
What "10 channel receiver" are you using and how since there isn't any receiver with 10 servo outputs in FrSky's product line?
Re: X9D only 9 channels?
I have an Orange TX module and an Admiral 10 ch receiver. I had all Spectrum receivers and a DX-6i when I came to the dark side. Much less expensive to use the Orange module than to buy all new receivers.
Re: X9D only 9 channels?
Not sure if the Orange TX actually supports 10CH...
If it does make sure you have set the PPM settings to output 10 channels.

Re: X9D only 9 channels?
Might have answered by own question - going through the menus checking settings and adjustments, and it looks like the Taranis only supports 9 analog channels.

Re: X9D only 9 channels?
No Taranis X9D, X9E, Qx7, X10S, X12S...all support up to 32 channels with the right external module and its internal module, 16 channels for internal module.
Most likely what Kilrah said. The tx supports the channels, bit the orange (external) rf module does not. Many of the Spektrum tx's only supported 6 to 9 channels.
Hobbyking, on one of their Orange modules says it supports 12 channels, but they have more than one module and there have been different version.
It could be the way you have it setup on the tx. Screen shots or an .otx posted might help you get this straighten out.

Re: X9D only 9 channels?
Of course it supports more, up to 16 per module.
Again, did you set the number of channels sent correctly?

Re: X9D only 9 channels?
Appreciate all the comments. So far, I've set my channel range to 10, 12 and 16 - no joy. The Orange tx module I have supports 12 channels. Going through the radio setup I found a calibration screen that only shows 9 channels. Very puzzling.
Re: X9D only 9 channels?
These have nothing to do with channels, they are the analog inputs on the radio.
Your channels need to be populated in the mixer for something to be put out.
Again look at the channel monitor. If you can get 10 channels to move, and have the PPM settings set to put out at least 10 channels then the issue is with the module/receiver combo. If not then you need to say how you set things up or post your .otx file as requested before you can get more troubleshooting help.
The Orange module with stock firmware has many known quirks.
