New here...dont see Qx7 board,but need help.
I updated my QX7 to 2.2 because I did,and still dont have failsafe option within 2/12 setup.
I have seen other QX7 radios with this option(Failsafe)just under [Bnd][rng].
I cannot setup failsafe because my radio is missing failsafe option and therefore cannot set to no pulses.
Here is what my radio says.VERS:2.20(9e268eba)
Why do other users of the QX7 have this failsafe option??
I really hope this is appropriate place to post and need assistance with this issue real bad.

What receiver are you using? Remote failsafe setting is only available for X receivers (D16 mode).
D receivers (D8 mode) need to have failsafe configured with the button on the receiver.

This method does not work with QX7.
I have tried other methods recomended over at r/multicopter and nothing gets failsafe to work,unless anyone here has idea on 100% works to get no pulse failsafe with QX7.

The D4R-II is a D8 receiver, so I don't think you can set failsafe using the radio, just as Kilrah explained above

First of all. That is a lousy video, you mentioned.
Second, read, what Kilrah mentioned in his post.

I just tried the button method from oscar liang tutorial.Both my d4r2 do not failsafe.
My radio is in d8 mode for both my models.Everything else works fine as I can fly,but havenot.

Setting Fail-Safe with D-Series receivers.
I have the Taranis-X9D (erSky9x firmware) and when using the D8R-II Plus and the D8R-XP receivers (I do not have the D4R-II),
First, I bind the receiver (RX) to transmitter (TX) and power both down.
Second, power both on and set the Taranis-X9D radio stick and setting where I want them when signal is lost.
Third, press Fail-Safe button on the receiver which saves the radio settings when (if) signal is lost between TX and RX.
Fourth: to test this, both TX and RX powered on, then power off the radio (TX)
and observe your model changing to what your Fail-Safe setting are.
This has always worked for me.

Setting failsafe is explained in the D4RII manual. For No Pulses you should turn on both radio and receiver, then turn off radio, then press the button.

So basically if my quad loses signal the motors will slow down enough for it to crash but motors/esc's will burn out because they will not spin freely when tangled in whatever it lands in.

Great so R/C failsafe works, now you need to configure your flight controller to do what you want when it happens. What you describe is default behavior on some systems (reduced throttle for a few seconds, then cut).

Same x4r2 that I have know...but was using X9D at that time.Perhaps I was in D16 mode with my X9D?

Close but not quite.
This is what my former radio used to do...The X9D
After doing failsafe X4RII instructions with the Qx7 the failsafe is motors spins to lower rpm but do not fully shut down when turning off radio.
Better then putting out last signal,thats for sure.
Know I need to get motors to turn completly off when radio is turned off.
Using dRonin BTW.Perhaps this helps you with any more suggestions?

I believe that if you use a flight controller the failsafe is programmed there, not on the radio..

Step one is to make the radio system give a recognisable condition when link is lost, which seems to be OK but that you would probably want to confirm using a good old analog servo. Step 2 is to make your flight controller recognise that condition and take appropriate action, this is specific to your controller. I don't know anything about dRonin.
There is no difference at all between the X9 and X7 with regard to failsafe.
