I am a first time OpenTX user and I need some guidance.
I plugged my Q-X7 into my laptop and opened OpenTX Companion for the first time, clicked "Read/Write - Read Models and Settings from Radio" and I got and error message saying;
Invalid binary EEPROM (see attachment)
As far as I can tell the radio came with "X7 Bootloader 2.2.0" and the version of OpenTX Companion is 2.1.9 which is the latest I could find.
I've been looking around and I found a few threads pointing to the "USB Drivers" but I'm not really a computer guy so I don't fully understand this.
Does anyone know what this is?
Any help would greatly be appreciated, Thanks.

Re: "Invalid binary EEPROM" Error Message
Companion 2.1 does not support the X7, you need to use the pre-release version of companion 2.2 to read X7 models, and configure it for the proper radio type first.
The current version is RC16 and can be found here. http://www.open-tx.org/2017/04/14/opentx-2.2.0RC16
