Audio alarm at power on

Hi,

I have a minor issue with an audio alarm at Taranis and mode power on.

First my setup is:
Taranis + S6R + FLVSS lipo monitor.
Open Tx 2.1.9

I have programmed the following to check the lowest lipo cell voltage:

L1 a<x vlow 3.4
Special functions:
L1 play track lowbat

Problem : When I power on the model with the battery the audio alarm "lowbat" comes out. The Taranis is of course powered ON.
Not a big issue but annoying. I do understand that at power on the ARM program must have memorized the first occurrence of a lipo cell < 3.4 volts but in reality the lowest lipo cell is > 3.4v.

How can I remove or avoid this first audio alarm at model power on?

Any thoughts about this issue below?

It seems the system reads an alarm from the FLVSS as low battery before just at the same time the receiver is powered on.

I think it would be possible to eliminate this false alarm by waiting for the receiver to be truly "connected" to the transmitter and then check for low battery.

Your thoughts? Possible?

Set the SF for the voice announcement repeat parameter to "Once, not during startup" (!1x on the radio).

You could also set a small delay on the LS, which is a good thing to do anyway to avoid spurious warnings due to measurement noise in flight.

Both these suggestions did not work.

This is what I did:

L1 a<x vlow 3.4 with vlow being defined in telemetry as the lowest cell voltage.
L1 play track lowbat !x1 ----- here I previously had L1 play track lowbat 5S because I want repeated sound warning one cell is under 3.4 volts.

I added the delay you suggested for L1 which is a good idea but it did not solve the problem of the initial false lowbat audio call (only at model power on).

OK I tried with a delay of 5 seconds and it works, the initial audio alarm is gone. 1 second does not work.

How does this delay work? Does the system detects a fault and waits for anther 5 seconds to check if the fault is still there or is it simply, a fault is detected and wait for 5 seconds?

Please clarify how the delay works in logical functions:

L1 a<x vlow 3.4 5S

Vlow must be below 3.4 for 5 consecutive seconds before the LS becomes true. 5 is probably a bit much for a warning.

I will try 2 seconds.

So the fault must be ON for at least 5 seconds if the delay is set to 5S before L1 becomes ON? Right?
What happens is there is a glitch at 2 second for a short period of time?

Correct, if there's a glitch it resets the timer.

Thinking more about it it's normal, the FLVSS sensor can't send all values at once. So for a while the radio will know there are say 6 cells but will only have received values for some of them, others are still 0 and trigger the warning. It takes a while for the sensor to fill in all values.

If a reasonably small delay solves it it's all good, otherwise you'll just have to live with the spurious warning.

The FLVSS should probably wait a couple seconds before start sending data
I had the same/similar problem with oXs, increased the delay and problem solved

5S works.

Hi all,

I just did some tests with the delay in logical switches and the FrSky FLVSS sensor

1S delay does not work
1.5S delay works and removes the initial false audio alarm.

So the threshold for stable reading is between 1.0S and 1.5S.
I will put my delay to 2.0S.
