Glitches on S6R AIL2 (channel 5)

Hi,

Problem: I have occasional small glitches on my channel 5 (AIL2) of the S6R receiver with Taranis in the neutral position.
All other channels work fine, no glitches.
The S6R works well, all surfaces work and even stabilize and level work well.
The only problem are rare occasional glitches on AIL2. The verification is done on the ground with motor off andf all surfaces on neural with no joystick movement.
I have tried using the same servo with just a small cheap servo tester and no glitches anymore.

Is it possible the S6R generates glitches for a very short time on one channel only?
The glitches are very difficult to reproduce, I have to wait for them.

Any thoughts on either S6R or Servo? or maybe wires?
And yes I waited for the S6R to initialize without moving the airplane.

Are you using CH5 as a second aileron or as an AUX channel?
Have you tried the Beta firmware for the S6R that improves performance with vibration?

Hi Mike,

I'm using CH5 as a second aileron.
No I have not tried the beta version, neither the latest firmware.
I have no vibration in my plane, it sits on a table and motor is OFF (not powered).
What is the jump bug of S6R CH5-8 documented on some threads?

I have downloaded from FRSky the latest firmware, should I flash it?
Can I flash the firmware with the SDK key only and a PC? I don't want to use the Taranis to flash S6R.

Hi

OK I solved and answered my own questions.
So, yes it is possible to flash a firmware update using only the STK USB key and a PC, no Taranis required.
However, only the beta firmware worked for me, the other firmware on FrSky site did not work.
And the new beta firmware solves the glitches on CH5-8
