Re: X8R + X8R
Two X8Rs run independently, both need their antennae. You bind one for channels 1-8, probably with telemetry and the other for channels 9-16, probably WITHOUT telemetry. Only one should have telemetry enabled.

Re: X8R + X8R
Hello Mike and thanks for answering. Very quick responce from You i must say. I have also another question about this antennas. I have read some place that they should be directed 90 degrees to each other, but is this in the horisontale plane or vertical plane? I am talking about one single X8R, but perhaps Its smart to think about antenna directions when using two X8Rs too??

Re: X8R + X8R
I'm not sure of the exact best recommendation, but I mount one horizontal, fore and aft and the other vertical.
With two receivers, I'd mount the second one as far away from the first one as possible.

Re: X8R + X8R
Very interesting Mike. Then we can ask how far could they be from each other. I am thinking about the wire lenght and the noise pickup..

Re: X8R + X8R
Just whatever distance you can get with the standard antenna length.

Re: X8R + X8R
Ohhh sorry I did write with a loss of information. I did mean the distance between the two X8Rs and the cable lengt that will be caused and "noise pickup" on this cable..

Re: X8R + X8R
The only connection you need between the two receivers is ground and power. I don't think there will be any noise pickup problem as there will likely already be some distance between the power source (BEC or battery) and the receivers. The two receivers operate independently.

Re: X8R + X8R
Thanks Mike.
Now i understand how this two equal receivers work together. Whats nice now is that i can place the receiver( especially the second receiver ch:9-16) closer to the servos. I am in the 1/4 scale family so I have long distances beween all my servos.
Thank you again Mike

Re: X8R + X8R
My misunderstanding how they work is that i thought that they was conected with the S-BUS like the S-BUS decoders do.
Re: X8R + X8R
I have found a better solution now and that is to use two decoders on the S-BUS to make 16 channels
Re: X8R + X8R
I'd say "different", not necessarily "better"
Make sure your servo power cables are suitable for the expected current draw.

I must confess that i am agree about use of words. Different is mora "safe" to say....
