Using rudder control for panning on Turnigy 9XR

Post by Ecomaniac »

Hi All,
im new to the rc game so please bear with me.
I’ve got a Turnigy 9XR Tx and i want to use the rudder control (stick) to operate my cam pan in flight, i only use the rudder on the ground while taxing, is it possible to switch between using the rudder while on the ground and then switching to use the pan while in flight?

You should have er9x (or openTx) formware on your 9XR, what version do you have?
Suppose you use channel 4 for rudder and channel 7 for panning. Set your channels as:
CH4: +100% Rud Switch(RUD).
CH7: +100% CH7
R +100% Rud Switch(!RUD) (a REPLACE mix)

With the RUD switch ON, CH4 is the rudder and CH7 holds position.
With the RUD switch off, CH4 is centred and CH7 is controlled by the rudder stick.

Press the LEFT button LONG, then the RIGHT button to get to the VERSION display. What is beside "SVN"?
