testing ESC+motor not possible

Recently I bought a CCPM Servo consistency master.
You should be able to test servo's and brushless motors with it.
Servo's testing is OK it worked but it did not work with motors.
Connecting must be OK, I followed the instruction from the different video's on YouTube.
When I connect the battery one light lits up and I hear some higher tones and at the end one lower, further nothing.
I tried two different set ups with two differet motors.
I wonder what is here false ??
