use of 9x screen in a 9xr transmitter

just a quick query, just got hold of a non working 9xr, the screen is cracked, cannot see any replacements listed, can a screen for a 9x be used/substituted in a 9xr? they seem to be the same size etc!
also if the mainboard is kaput any available anywhere? if so a link please!

No, the wiring is different and won't fit.

have a look here, someone installed other LCD that works with ersky9x with a little modification. Just a resistor I think

I think he has the 9XR, not the 'PRO.
The resistor causes ersky9x (for the 'PRO) to detect you want a different driver configuration to be used.

Ahh, ok.. I thought it was the pro.. But if it is, wouldn't be possible to make it work also in with er9x? The LCD is the same, right??

There is an adapter to use 9XR screen in a 9x. I didn't see an adapter to work the opposite way.
I would probably take the one available and try to modify it to connect a 9x screen to the 9XR. It will require some very fine soldering though.

Also, try to contact ar9x.net and see whether JK (the owner of that store) can offer you an easier alternative. He's a very nice guy!
