See pics post #217 and #221. A small adapter for flashing.
Think, it is quite helpful in avoiding making mistakes ....

Re: Taranis adapter for flashing
Useful if you don't use the supplied NiMh battery in the tx, though soldering leaves something to be desired!
Otherwise a simple lead with +ve and -ve reversed is all that is needed.

... other advantage is, he is using a 5 pin connector and by this, no mixing up or using wrong pins.thebriars0 wrote:Useful if you don't use the supplied NiMh battery in the tx, though soldering leaves something to be desired!

Could not resist and made one myself. But I am not showing backside.
You might criticize my soldering skills either.

Re: Taranis adapter for flashing
Sorry! My first job was in an electronic instrument factory as a production engineer. I spend 6 months on an an assembly line as part of the training, and now its something I can't help noticing.
Take your point about the 5 pins though and yours does look very neat.

@thebriars0.
Thank you for your compliment - makes me flush
But I understand your argument about quality of soldering. Seen too much of bad soldering in rc modelling.
From time to time posts show up, where some (Sorry for that ...) idiots praise the "good" effects of using soldering fluid or flux in electronics, normally a roofer takes for soldering rain pipes.
The 5 pin connector on a small circuit board is the main thing.! That is the good idea.
And as a 7805 only is ~0.30€, so I added that.
