how tp switch to PPM mode??

Wanting to set up my Radio(ER9XpRO), according to my Manual I have to switch my transmitter to PPM mode.
My question is how to do this.

I don't see the option in my Radio Set Up Menu.
I only see PPM mentioned in the trainer setup menu to assign to different channels.

Also I don't see PPM in any of the other menus,

What are you trying to achieve? You are not providing enough information for us to help you.
For example, what RF module do you have?
What are you trying to connect to the radio?
why do you need the radio to output PPM?

What i try to achieve looks to me(newbe) simple. I want my transmitter to functon(bind) with the receiver in my quadcopter(Naze32 flightcontroller).
I make use of a FrSky DJT ComboPack Telemetry Module.

In the Setup intsturctions of the module is written;
1) Turn your transmitter on and switch to PPM mode. Turn your transmitter off.
2) Turn your transmitter on while holding the F/S button on the transmittor module .....ect ect...

Why I need PPM is not clear to me. I think I simply have to follow the instructions from the module manufactorer.

My question; How do I switch to PPM mode when there is nu such option in the main menu(nor submenu)??

What firmware you have installed on your radio? Ersky9x?
The stock firmware?

The PPM setting is in the "Protocol" menu.
Please also specify exactly what your transmitter is.
I'm guessing you have a 9XR-PRO, is this correct?

Yes my transmitter is a 9XR-PRO. (r212)

I'm sorry but on my transmitter i cannot find a "Protocol" menu.

Your radio has a very old version of ersky9x installed. I think that version still didn't have the organized menus the new versions have..
Try going to the Model setup menu, I think by pressing long the right key, then navigate to the "setup" menu, or something like that (I can't remember, it was long ago). on that menu you will find an option called "proto"..

Please follow the link and download the file called "9XR Pro Ersky9x Explained 2014-07-06.pdf" and read from page 20 onwards.

I was looking for that firmware but did not succeed in finding it.

Plsase go to www.er9x.com and download the firmware for the 9XR-PRO.

What he seems to want is a PPM signal out of the receiver to feed to a flight controller.

That is completely independent of the radio, and is set on the receiver itself. Please say what receiver you got with your combo.

This receiver cannot provide a PPM signal, you would need either a D8R-XP or D4R-II.

...but with a Naze you do not need PPM either, individual connections work too.

Actually rereading he seems not to find where to enable PPM to the module on the radio. That's on by default, and can be set in the Protocol submenu.

With my actual firmware I do not have a protocol submenu.
I am about to install new fimrware.
(I also have receivers that do support telemetry.)
