May be having a problem with the telemetry data using FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor using the Smart Port (S.Port) connection.
List of components used:
FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor
FLVSS Smart Port LiPo Voltage Sensor
FrSky X8R receiver
ErSky9x on Taranis-x9d using the internal XJT module
ErSky9x firmware: V.5023-Mike / 22.05.2016 / SVN: erx9d-pr219
Using a 3S LiPo battery to power model.
I have the FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor connected first to the X8R Smart Port and second a FLVSS LiPo Voltage Sensor
which is connected back to the FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor.
The Red LED looks to be flashing fast all the time, but after about 5 to 8 minutes it has showed
and now has some GPS data showing on the ErSky9x on Taranis telemetry data screens.
I may have some of the telemetry settings improperly set, below is some photos showing the telemetry setting which I have.
Are my GPS Telemetry settings correct ?
I carried the FrSky GPS Sensor (V2) many times down and up the hill (about 45 feet vertically).
Also note the wind became very gusty which may have adding data error to my readings.
Barometric Altitude: Alt (I can 0 out this reading, but seems to become unstable as the data went minis when going up and plus when going down. Also the data readings were changing a lot when in the same position sometimes by 27 feet).
GPS Altitude: Galt (This data dose not change much and I think it may be reading in meters and not able to 0 reading out).
GPS Speed: Gspd (This seems to be working correctly).
Barometric Vertical speed: Vspd (Seems to be working correctly though have not flown with it yet).
GPS Heading: Hdg (Dose not work with FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor).
Acceleration X: AccX (Dose not work with FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor).
Acceleration Y: AccY (Dose not work with FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor).
Acceleration Z: AccZ (Dose not work with FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor).
I am more use to using the FrSky High Precision Vario (FVAS-02H) for the Barometric Altitude (Alt)
which is quicker and more accurate with its data reporting.
In this photo "Alt= 369 has a small "m" after, dose this stand for "meters" ?
Also what is the "Max= 0" for ?

Your settings look correct. I haven't particularly used the GPS Alt value myself, I'll need to hook my GPS sensor up and also test it.
The small 'm' is indeed metres, the Max= value should be the maximum value of Galt (maybe it doesn't work!).
Acceleration is only provided by the specific acceleration sensor, not by the GPS.
I not sure the GPS Alt value is very accurate, I'll check back in a log file when I was testing something else to see if I have anything useful on it.
GPS heading only gives a useful value when the GPS sensor is moving at a reasonable speed when it can compare a previous position with the current position.
This is from a log file I have when I had both a Vario and a GPS.
The vario values are in feet while the GPS values are in metres. As you can see, the GPS altitude was not very responsive and lagged.

I have had this FrSky GPS for almost a year now and back when I first tried it, it did not seem to work at all.
I think its time for me to start using the FrSky X-Series telemetry, so I wanted to try this FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor
to see how it works (if it even did work at all).
I have learned with using the MultiWii Flight Controller w/ GPS that when the GPS has not powered
on for several months it will take about 10 minutes to acquire satellites.
(I think this may be, because the on-board battery needs to be charge up but I am not sure why this happens).
And when using the MultiWii GPS more frequently, the GPS acquire the satellites in about 1minute or so, (much quicker).
It makes no difference with this Smart Port FrSky GPS (V2) Sensor as it still takes a long time, 7 to 10 minutes to acquire satellites.
It is only a shorter time to acquire satellites when power off and back on in a very short time,
other-wise it takes 7 to 10 minutes to re-acquire the satellites.
This FrSky Smart Port GPS (V2) Sensor dose not work very well and I can not see much benefit from using it,
as to its data reporting is very slow (late) and inaccurate (bad data reporting).
I will try to use it for awhile, but I think it end up in one of the dead components RC boxes.
I really like the FrSky Smart Port FLVSS LiPo Voltage Sensor and with using the
Taranis telemetry screen selectable 9 places data sensor readings, see photo below.
I like being able to see the LiPo Cell Voltages Totaled (Ctot) and each of the
individual 3S LiPo battery cell voltages (Cel 1), (Cel 2), (Cel 3), see photo below. One-other observation when changing from D-Series to the X-Series telemetry, the RSSI signal strength data reporting
is lower with the X-Series compared to the RSSI signal strength data reporting from the D-Series.
This dose not build confidence in the FrSky Smart Port X-Series telemetry data reporting products.
Also with the X-Series telemetry reporting, I am receiving a Voice-Warning to the
Lost of Telemetry Connection more often then with the D-Series, which I think may be the TSSI signal being lost.
Is this Voice-Warning to the Lost of the Telemetry Connection, our old TSSI signal being lost ?

No. When a telemetry frame is received I reset a timer to 35. This counts down every 10mS and if it reaches 0, then you get the telemetry lost message (so after 350mS of no telemetry frames being received). There are actually two timers, one for the receiver information and one for user (sensor) information. If you log the telemetry you can see these values in the "valid" column (100 times one plus the other).
"TmOK" also shows 0 if no telemetry, 1 for receiver data and 2 for both receiver and sensor data.

X series will lose telemetry feed intermittently if the receiver is too close to the radio, that's usual.

Not only the X series.. That also happens with my DJT module, although I have only noticed it recently..
