Apprentice 15e

Post by pizzaman »

I crashed my Apprentice 15e and had to replace the cowling and prop. When I insert the battery and turn the switch to on, all functions work except the ailerons. Elevator, rudder and throttle work fine. Checked the Y cable connection to the receiver and everything looks fine. Should I try to re-bind? Any suggestions?

Disconnect the aileron cable, plug one of the other servos into the aileron slot and see if it works. If it does the problem is not in the receiver.

Assuming it works, plug each of the aileron servos, one at a time, into the aileron slot. If they work that only leaves the y-cable as the problem. Replace it.

Never assume that things are OK because they look OK.

Hope it really is the cable, the cheapest, easiest thing to replace. Don't try to fix.

Thanks Daedalus66, I went through your steps and found that the y-cable was faulty. Really appreciate your input.

Nice to hear the outcome (especially when successful!).
